Resident Fees (R) are available only to residents of State College Borough and the Townships of College, Ferguson, Harris and Patton. Proof of residency may be required upon registration.  All others are subject to the nonresident (N) rates.

for 3-5 year olds (who have not entered Kindergarten and must be toilet-trained)
at Easterly Parkway Elementary School in State College Borough
Expanded time for 2010: 9:00 AM - Noon.

CRPR KidVenture Camps understand what it means to be a KID! Join our qualified and enthusiastic KIDVenture staff for an exciting summer of discovery, adventure, and fantastic memories! Each week will have an exciting theme and there will be a good mix of enticing programmed activities, as well as time for swimming, field trips, and our weekly Counselor Surprise. Both KIDVenture Camps are full day programs (7:30AM - 5:30PM); 7:30-9 AM and 4-5:30 PM each day will be time for check-in & check-out. 9AM-4PM will be KIDVenture program time! Some field trips will require an additional fee.
Swimming:

The South High School campers will swim at the High School Natatorium (due to Welch Pool being closed in 2010 due to construction), except that no swimming will be held during Sessions 7 & 8 since the HS Nat will be closed for maintenance during August.
2. Campers at Park Forest Elem. School will swim at Park Forest Pool.

KIDVenture Junior Leader Program
For youth entering Grades 7-12       $25 R /$36 N per week

Gain leadership experience and increase your sense of responsibility by assisting the KIDVenture Day Camp Staff with activities, events, field trips and FUN! Junior Leaders are scheduled from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday at both the Park Forest Elem. School and the South High School sites according to the KIDVenture sessions listed above. A Junior Leader may register for up to 4 weeks. Spaces are limited and once a site is full, a waitlist will be available. Registration Deadline: Fri., June 4. Sorry, no registrations can be accepted after this date.
A mandatory training session will be held on Sat., June 12. Details will be provided to registrants.
NOTE: On-line registration is not offered for this camp. Prior to registration by the CRPR Office, the Junior Leader Agreement must be signed by both the parent and the potential Jr. Leader . The agreement is available HERE (PDF) or at the CRPR office 231-3071 (M-F, 8-5). 

CRPR WILD WEDNESDAY GET-AWAYS
for teens entering grades 6-8 in Fall 2010

For 3 Wednesdays (July 7, 14 & 21), CRPR has a van trip planned to an exciting location in and around the Centre Region, just for teens. Canoe the waters of the Bald Eagle Creek or take on a water park adventure at Camelbeach.
Registration is required; minimum enrollments apply. No refunds provided after 5PM the Friday prior. Trips will be confirmed the Monday prior.

Canoe CampCRPR Canoe Camps
for Youth Entering grades 6-9, limited to 10 participants.
Registration opened on Feb. 1.

This week-long camp is designed for beginners to learn the lifetime sport of paddling and canoeing. Techniques in recreational canoeing on flat and Class 1 & 2 moving water will be addressed during daily field trips to area waterways.

A mandatory Swim Safety Evaluation will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 8 PM at Park Forest Pool. Students not passing the test will be provided with a full refund, less a $5 processing fee.

The base location for this camp will be at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. NOTE: This camp will meet on Monday, July 5 (holiday).

This great new camp is open to teens in grades 6-9 who wish to try various art mediums “en plein air” at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. The camp fee includes professional instruction by Susan Nicholas Gephart (her website) and all materials. Work with guest artists and instructors, plus the MMNC staff, to explore your artistic side while you explore the marsh. Teens must be able to work independently and creatively, and focus on both guided and free art activities for each 4-hour time period.

CRPR Trout Fly Fishing CampFlyfishing Camp
for youth entering Grades 5-8, limited to 18 participants.
Registration opened on Feb. 1.

Learn the lifelong hobby of fly-fishing, casting, fly-tying, and more from local instructors and volunteers at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. Camp includes hands-on instruction, field trips to local waterways and presentations by experienced local flyfishers. This popular camp is again offered in partnership with the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

CRPR Bass Fly Fishing Camp
for youth entering Grades 7-12,

This great camp is a chance for young Flyfishers to take the next step and learn about warmwater species, fishing with warmwater fly tackle, tying poppers and more! Fee includes loan of fly tackle and tying materials during camp. Camp includes hands-on instruction, field trips to local waterways and presentations by experienced local flyfishers. Some experience in flyfishing and fly-tying is needed for this camp. Graduates of the CRPR Trout Flyfishing Camp are encouraged to register.

CRPR FlyfishingGuided Fly Fishing Trips
for youth entering Grades 9-12

This great new “camp” is a chance for experienced young Flyfishers to spend some time on the stream with a professional guide who will teach them what local streams to fish, what water conditions to look for, how to read a hatch, and more! Teens must be able to fish all morning with limited supervision, be experienced in flyfishing, and be responsible for their own stream side behavior. Participants should bring their own flyfishing gear, files, waders, etc. Transportation to local waterways will be provided. Graduates of the CRPR Fly Fishing Camps are encouraged to register. Space is limited to 8 participants.

TheatreCRPR “Camp Bill” Shakespeare Theatre Camp
for youth age 8 - 17 at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center
Registration opened on Feb. 1.
Camp will be divided into two age groups: 8-12 & 13-17.

"Camp Bill" is designed to de-mystify the language and increase the understanding of the
world of Shakespeare! We will combine voice, movement, dance, puppetry, stage combat
and text, as well as incorporate exercises used by the Royal Shakespeare Company. There
will be a ‘share and tell’ at the end of each session for an invited audience, as well as the
unique opportunity to develop and perform before the Nittany Valley Shakespeare Festival’s
summer production of “Much Ado About Nothing” to be performed in August. No acting experience is necessary and all skill levels are welcome!
