ICE RINK STATUS
as of March 1, 2017:
CLOSED

UPDATE: CRPR's Maintenance staff started to build the skating rink back in December; however, due to the unusually warm winter, we were never able to fill it as it needs a good three-four days to freeze solid. Being that its March 1 and spring sports will start soon, we will not be able to open the ice rink this winter. Our apologies.

Cabin fever? Bundle up and head outdoors to the Village Ice Rink. This activity is FREE and fun for kids of all ages!“ The on-ground ice rink (45’x 80’) is dependent upon the sustained sub-freezing temperatures and the commitment of community volunteers to maintain (and clear the snow from) the ice.
"Hockey-only” times are Mon. & Thurs., 3:00-5:30 PM.
Location: Blue Spring Park, 230 Wagner St., Boalsburg (Google Map)
CRPR offers sincere thanks to the following organizations for their assistance:

  • Harris Township
  • State College Borough Water Authority
  • Boalsburg Fire Company
  • Community volunteers who assist with clearing the ice.

We've had an unusually warm winter and have had the slope open only three times! Let's cross our fingers that Mother Nature will give us one more BIG snow storm!

When there’s (enough) snow, you gotta go sledding!  Slab Cabin Park, located in College Township at 316 Elmwood St., Lemont, has the best sledding slope around - and it's FREE!

The whole family is sure to enjoy this Centre Region wintertime tradition during daylight and under the lights until approx. 11 PM, conditions-permitting.

Please note the slope rules, shown at left.
